Scarecrow Festival 2011 at Pattingham, South Sfaffs


Scarecrow Festival Information

The Festival will be open for viewing at the following dates/times:

FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 23rd 12 noon - 5pm
SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 24th 10.00 am - 5pm
SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 25th 12 noon - 5pm

Visitor car parking will be on Pool Meadow (Patshull Road) by kind permission of Mr & Mrs John Roberts.

The Scarecrow Trail will start from St.Chad's Church (Trail Guides detailing the route will cost £2) Also available will be a Scarecrow Trail Quiz sheet for the children at £1 which includes a Festival badge.

Refreshments will be available in the Village Hall between 12.30 and 4.30pm daily.

SPECIAL FESTIVAL EVENTS:
Friday night
An Evening of Folk & Fun with 'Bedlam' including a Ploughman's Supper/Licensed Bar. Tickets £10 from Jill Parker/700755

Saturday Display and demonstrations of craftwork in Church
Saturday night 'Olde Pattingham' - traditional Harvest Supper followed by a slide show given by Robert Taylor. Licensed Bar. Tickets £7.50 from Liz Sampson/700823
Sunday 10am Harvest Festival Service in Church
5.30pm Harvest Festival Evensong with the Chad Singers in Church

SCARECROW SECURITY - the Festival Steering Committee accept no responsibility for the safety of your scarecrow exhibits - it is up to you whether you wish to take them in each night, and your responsibility to ensure that they are in place during Festival opening hours.

To help you with constructing your scarecrows -
STRAW WILL BE AVAILABLE, if wanted, from outside the Village Hall (rear carpark please) on Saturday 27th August from 11am-12noon, or by prior arrangement with Liz Sampson on 700823. IT WOULD HELP US TO KNOW IN ADVANCE IF YOU WILL BE REQUIRING STRAW- please phone/leave message on 700340 or send return email - thank you.
