Egyptian
child support At
a recent PCC meeting, Sarah Campbell introduced a scheme for
the support of Egyption children who live and work in the garbage
village of Cairo. It was decided to support the scheme with a
£100 donation.
Please find attached photographs and thank you message
below from Sarah's colleague, Julie Flavell, City of Wolverhampton
College.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your
support once again in our fund raising for the children of Cairo,
Egypt, who live and work on the garbage village. This year we
raised a grand total of £1215.13. In the present climate
this is a fantastic amount of money.
I was in Egypt
in May and this year more than ever they need our support, life
is very difficult for them at the moment as the government has
gone into the villages and killed all the pigs due to the threat
of swine flu, although there hasn't been one case of it in the
country. The effect on the people is devastating as a form of
income has been taken away from them. I spent time with the children
and they all know of the support they are receiving from you
and they all send a big thank you and their love.
I cannot begin
to express the effect you have helped to have on these children's
lives and once again a huge thank you from me.
I have attached
some photos so you can see what sort of lives these children
have. If you would like to see other photos please contact me
and I would be happy so show you more.
