Following our highly successful 2013 Scarecrow Festival, the third Festival runs from Friday 25th to Sunday 27th of September 2015. This will take place in the South Staffordshire village of Pattingham, with a focus on the local church of St Chad's. Take a look at the 2013 scarecrows >> The three day
event will run from Friday 25th September through to
Sunday evening on 27th September with a Scarecrow Trail
starting at the Village Hall and taking in most village roads
with individual scarecrows displayed in gardens and various other
positions. There will be over 130 scarecrows to visit !!!

HARVEST SUPPER and a talk of SOME CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL FRIDAY EVENING - 25th at 7.30pm Our first evening event is on Friday 25th September 2015. This will be the HARVEST SUPPER together with an illustrated talk entitled 'Some Creatures Great and Small' by Rob Colin-Stokes, who is Pattingham born and bred. Rob works for the Forestry Commission and will tell us about his daily routine working with wild life and the environment. Don't miss what will surely be a fascinating and compelling talk. Tickets are just £7.50 each which includes a hot Harvest Supper and Sweet cooked by Sue Riches, well known in Pattingham for her excellent recipes. There will also be a licensed bar. FOLK & FUN NIGHT with 'PRO TEMPORE' SATURDAY EVENING - 26th at 8.00pm Saturday evening sees the popular and talented group 'Pro Tempore' performing folk music mingled with good fun and ready banter. There will also be a Hog Roast Supper during the interval. A licensed bar will also be operating. HARVEST SERVICE SONGS OF PRAISE SUNDAY EVENING - 27th at 6.00pm The 6.00pm Evensong will be a special service for Harvest together with a Songs of Parise and will mark the final event of the Scarecrow Festival. Within the service, will be the dedication of the new glass porch by the Ven. Dr. Sue Weller, the Archdeacon of Walsall. The financing of these new doors was mainly derived from the previous Scarecrow Festivals that took place in 2011 and 2013. The church
choir will be augmented by members of the CHAD Singers, a Pattingham
community choir helping to raise funds for local charities. more

Start your Scarecrow Trails from the Village Hall... with the SCARECROW TRAIL GUIDE... When you visit be sure to buy your SCARECROW TRAIL GUIDE at the START outside the Village Hall, at £2 per person with children under 16 FREE. This TRAIL GUIDE is a map showing all scarecrow positions together with their title and the three suggested viewing routes. SCARECROW FESTIVAL OPEN TIMES Friday 27th - 12.00 noon to 5.00pm Saturday 28th - 10.00am to 5.00pm Sunday 29th - 10.00am to 5.00pm Ample FREE parking near the Church All vehicles are parked on the allocated car parks entirely at the owner's risk. Hungry or thirsty ? Refreshments of savoury rolls, homemade cakes, ice cream and drinks are available daily in the Village Hall up to 4.30pm. Evening Entertainment... Again Festival entertainment is being planned and so far we can tell you that on Friday evening September 27th there will be the traditional Harvest Supper with a talk by Rob Colin-Stokes, and on Saturday 28th there is to be a Folk Night featuring "Pro Tempore", the well known and popular group, with a Harvest Festival services in St Chads Church on the Sunday evening.
